At our brand new Broadway facility, seven teachers, two family advocates and three support staff serve 68 children from low income families. We have two full day classes, one AM part day class and one PM part day class. Our experienced staff (combined years of teaching experience is 106 years) believes in “educaring” the children at Broadway. Teachers work with children on problem solving, self esteem, creativity and innovation as well as appreciation of diversity, understanding and respect for each other. Most of our children are English Language Learners and teachers are trained to use props and total physical response to foster language development.
We also have a garden project where children can learn hands-on about growing vegetables and flowers. Children get to prepare and try new foods to expand their diet at harvest time.
